Here's a pic I thought you guys may be interested in of Mick's (MS700) XR6T with XR8 air cleaner assy. Maybe Mick can post prices, part #s and power increase again for those that missed the previous thread. The beauty of this setup that it all looks factory.

The beauty of this system is that its not that expensive ($250 absolute max) and you only have to drill 2 small holes in your inner skirt for the mounting bracket. If you needed to, when you put the XR6 assy back in, it would be extremely hard to find the two holes.

We definately picked up some more KW's, but hard to tell exactly how much.

If people want me to, I can post the part #'s and $$$.

Would this mod be any more effective than just adding a second cold air feed to the existing air box on the T?.

I know some members have done this for much less $$$

But the XR8 feed does look damn nice.

CraigH, another Canberra HgAg cardy member  has the XR8 cold air tube thingy connected to original Xr6T airbox and it looks very neat as well. I'm not sure if he's had it on a dyno but I think Craig said it feels more responsive when driving. Maybe Craig can post a pic?

As Falchoon said, I added just the Xr8 under headlight breather adapted to the Xr6 Airbox.

Seems to breath a bit easier through the range but no real dyno numbers. Would be interested to know if full Xr8 kit is better ??

Try thread below for pics and more detail...very easy to do and almost invisible to most onlookers.

1) Is there any difference between the XR8 and GT cold air intake systems? (visually looked the same to me)

2) is the XR8/GT set-up "technically" better (ie presume a cylindrical filter is used rather than a flat panel as per the T and air is taken from a different place)?
