Bit of an update with the car,

Just drove it from brissy to darwin as I currently live up here. Went really well on the drive up and chewed a lot less fuel than I expected. Although it certainly wasn't cheap to fill at $2 a litre.

Am looking to get a service up here but don't really want to trust ford with my car. Anyone had any experience with servicing their xr6t in darwin?

Also wanted to thank Paul for following up with a call to check on the car, definitely knows how to look after a customer.

Cheers Pissant

good to hear mate!!!

any drama's.... let me know!!!

I do have a question for you, how loud do the walbro pumps usually get after they have been working pretty hard?

Nice colour! Grats on the result, how did you find the step from 208 -> 342? :3gears:

A huge difference, the back end actually steps out now! have had no troubles leaving worked 8's behind at the lights

Very nice set-up, looks good under the hood.

My walbro was fairly noisy. I ended up with a Bosch044 and surge with the walbro feeding it and it's actually quieter with the two pumps. Walbro is a lot quieter with no restriction and a free-flow return to tank line from the pot and the Bosch is rubber mounted.

Maybe I just got a dud, lots of people seem happy with theirs.

Hey, stop picking on those poor old V8's :spoton:

Cheers hey, it still needs a process west rocker cover though.

Mine seems really noisy after its been working pretty hard but I thought it just might be normal. I was thinking the next step would be a Bosch 044 and surge tank anyway.

Got a few things I plan on getting done by Elite at chrissy time when I'm back in brissy.

Those poor old V8's used to leave me for dead! :turboboink:

Sounds like a plan.

I'll be getting rid of the 10's on the rear so it shouldn't scrub when the back squats right down.

I was thinking surge tank and pump, rocker cover and doing something with the suspension and brakes. Any ideas on if its worth getting a whole new brake and suspension setup or just some new pads and maybe replacing the bushes and changing the springs and shocks?

Cheers again,

Pissant

Just thought I would add a bit of an update of where things are at.

Got some new 18s and got rid of my 20s.

Pedders coilovers with whiteline swaybars front and rear.

Had all the bushes replaces with polyurethane ones.

Getting the brakes done this coming week, K sport 8 pot fronts and 4 pot rears with 356mm rotors all round.

Here are some pics of how it is today and I'll ad new ones of the brakes after they are done.
