Thanks Mika good to know roughly what I could be up for, I think I might have to go pay Pat a visit he isnt too far from me

I picked up the wheels for $1900 for all 5 with still new factory rubber on ebay (It was a very lucky find considering I was desperate for new tyres and the price was great).

The guy I bought them off had replaced them with Hiros to clear the Brembos he had put on

Pazzo that's an interesting pickup those painted FG XR 19s are identical to the XR50 19s just without the machined edges...

and I'm paranoid about scraping those edges

balance your wheels - not many shops do it rite have seen people spend hundreds some times thousands and the wheel balance is out - I would have your wheels balanced by a shop that have a stud mount balancer not centre mount.

An update for my progress so far.

F1 was right the balance was out on all 4 wheels but that wasnt all...

they also found 2 buckled rims!!!! :bangcomputer:

So after swapping the worst rim to the spare and driving to work newly balanced there is still a shake but now its changed, It has changed from a whole car vibration to just a slight vibration through the seats

But still the steering wheel shake is the same....

So the plan is:

1. Wheel balance

2. Repair buckled wheel (this weekend)

3. Wheel alignment again

4. Disc machine

5. Tailshaft balance

6. Replace front suspension bushes

7. Replace shocks

8. Auto extension housing bush

9. Sell the f*cking car!

Ill work my way through this list until I get this figured out

Just an update on my progress in finding the source of my vibrations

So far I have done:

1. Wheel balance

2. Repair buckled wheel

3. Replace front control arm bushes - Thanks to Pat

4. Wheel alignment - Thanks to Pat again

5. Replace front calipers and brake fluid (front left was not releasing properly)

6. Disc machine (Glazed and warped due to siezed caliper)

I just picked the car up after replacing the brakes so I will find out tomorrow if that has fixed the last of the vibration at highway speeds

Next is to replace the leaking shocks when I can afford to put in the good stuff.

Special Mention to Wholesale suspension. Best wheel alignment and customer service Ive had from a workshop!
