Nah he's talking about the cone replacement.

I priced it at about 150 buying all the parts individuality, hardly worth the effort.

Not sure where you can get both silicone joiners for $30? Anyone can make there own, it's not hard apparently it's more a matter of whether you can be bothered or not.

I guess I was wrong..

Didn't seem loud at first but you can notice it after a while, with XR8 box K&N filter I think it will be louder.

Cheers to STAINLESS for giving us a hand doing pretty everything too spoton.gif Probably will end up painting it eventually I think. One day..

Is there any difference in throttle response? Is it easy enough to fit? I looked at my cone pipe today, and it looks like it might be tight to try and remove it..

Nah not really as far as I could tell, there is a bit of fiddling to make it fit but as far as clearances go there's no problem. This is genuine 4inch the whole way which is bigger then the other ones I think.

The factory inlet muffler is easy as to remove. I had the plazmaman replacement version on my car but have since removed it. It was fine with the V8 box and snork - nice spool noise. With the SS Growler though, it was just too loud. Fine on boost, but the sh*tty sucking noises under light pedal made the car feel cheap. The younger brigade might like it but I didn't. Will refit the pipe for car shows and events.

It's more of the turbo whistle sound under WOT rather then induction noise.
