Fill us in..What is the right setup? Slicks? No interior?

properly tuned and built box, right converter size..

and the right mods

see plenty of people coming on here saying they have 400kw + and when they take it to the track they run a high 11?

and then complain that halftrack they get heat soak or it only makes 400kw one run or some crap

this car has been modded and tuned perfectly imo.. tune is aggressive and power comes on early and hard

yeh sure theres alot of cars here with 300 + and 400 + but being able to perform on the track and perform on the dyno are 2 very different things

owner of this car doesnt car about the figure on the top of his dyno sheet, just the time slip

and this car WILL run 10s when we take it back with its new SEMI slicks and its FULL interior

cheers

I know what it feels like to get that close with that power!!!!!

alot comes down to the driver as well!!! that 60ft is awesome!!!

what were his other times???? did he run 11.0's all night or was it a 1 off run??

for all the people wondering how much boost he left with, I will take a stab and say that it wont be any more than 8-10 psi.

anymore boost than this in my car and she fried the et streets!! I have tried to let it rip with 18psi once and the d/s rear cv didnt like it!!!

Congrads to my brother inlaw who ran an 11.011 @ 124mph yesturday at calder.

.60ft was a 1.55

Car is a BA XR6T Auto with 328rwkw

Going to get some new slicks and take it back and it should crack a 10 !

This just goes to show you dont need 400rwkw in an XR6 to run a 10, just need the right set up :)

Cheers

I'm hearing you bro. I was there the same night and ran a 11.005. New MT's going on and high 10 here I come. CU July 30th. I'll look out for u. I'm the guy in white FG XR6T. Getting there early for a daylight run so hopefully track is a little stickier.

It's a shame there's no info on the car, be interesting to see the setup used to achieve such a good result.

Hey Guys,

The car G is talking about is mine and havent been on the forum lately to share info..

its a BA XR6T with 329RWKW and tuned on 16 pounds of boost.

the cars mods include:

Process west IC stage 2

valve springs

60lb Injectors

4inch dump, 3.5inch cat and 2.5in quad exhaust

4inch intake

walbro fuel pump

that's pretty much it for mods.

it has a STD plenum and a unopened bottom end

on the day I ran the 11.01 I had 235/15s Mickey semi slicks on the back, which were pretty worn out and 20s on the front

no suspension work, just stock suspension at the back and ssl's at the front.

going back on the 30th with 255/16s mickey semi slicks to see if a can crack that 10 with a higher and better launch.

Cheers
