Hello everyone,

I have been a silent member for quite a while, just recently I bought myself a completely stock 2003 BA XR6T, just a quick question. I am hoping to get it flash tuned, a nice exhaust and a cold air intake, I called nizpro the other day (where the car has been serviced) and asked for a quote regarding an exhaust and a flash tune, and they told me for that sort of mods the motor wont be able to hold the power and will need bigger injectors and valve springs.

My question is up to what limit can you mod the car with the stock motor, and how much can you boost the turbo to without doing any engine work?

15psi-340~ rwkw.

Bieng a ba you will need valve springs, virtually straight away. Also you'll need bigger injectors anyway.

Also you should look at doing a cooler before doing the exhaust. Personally ild try keep your power lower than 320rwk for reliability. Or around 300 to preserve your gearbox.

So your saying I'll get 340rwkw's on 15psi, with a exhaust system, flash tune and CAI, but I will need to replace the injectors and valve springs?

And yes since the car is a daily driver, I want to keep it under 200rwkw's. I just want to know what are the possible modifications I can do to achieve close to 300 rwkw's on stock internals safely? Or if it's even possible?

Depends completely on how you treat the car. I've been running 375rwkw on my bf1, which has the same internals as the ba but different cams for a few years now.

Racked up 127,000k's and it's still in one piece lol :innocent:* J runs off to touch wood*

I meant 15psi 340rwkw is about the maximum, with ALL supporting mods. That's through an auto. Jmans just a lucky beep.

For 300 youll need injectors and intank fuel pump, valve springs, a good cooler kit, not just a CAI, and a hi flo cat. Cat isn't necessary but will make it easier on the internals.

if I was you I would get a pod filter for induction noise, a catback for exhaust noise and just get it custom tuned...should make around 240rwkw cant complain about that, still enough to beat most holdens

headstuds, oil pump gears, valve springs, fuel system to suit ... then wind up the boost :D

With stupid. 300rwkw and you'll be replacing 5 speeds all the time.
