Well crappond is just fail. I had internode in Brisbane and my line was 3kays from the exchange and I was getting 22mbps download and 2.1mbps upload with a ping of 3-4ms Then move to W.A and telstra is the only exchanges here and I cant even get over 1.2mbps download and the exchange is 600 meters down the road :bangcomputer:

Depending on where you are Daniel, I would get either iinet or internode. Internode only have 2 or 3 exchanges here in Perth and iinet has hundreds all over Perth. Only way to tell is to get on whirlpool.

I have had teltra, optus, iinet and internode and can say with out a doubt internode were the best. Any time you talk to them they are all australian and go out of there way to help you.

For ADSL, I've been with iiNet and TPG and would recommend either.

For wireless, I've used Vivid, Bigpond and Vodafone. I'd choose Bigpond (because they have better coverage and speed is fairly solid) over Vivid (they've over sold their network capacity) and Vodafone (coverage was mediocre and data throughput was unreliable).
