Brought this home the other day. Was a bit wobbly at first, but it`s coming back to me. I had a real blast this morning. Its my 8th Yamaha. I`m really enjoying it, but I`m only a fortnight out from my surgery on both knee`s. I went out to buy a 15 dollar exercise bike from lifeline and came home with a grands worth of downhill mountain bike. lol I flipped it 4 days after surgery. I plan on giving both of them what for as time progresses.

Ive had dirties all my life, Current one being a CR500 sittin in the shed bent to sh*t awaiting an AF conversion.

Doing up a Triumph 09 speed triple 1050 at the moment, its got carbon fibre galore and a loud as pipe that spits flames, should be quite the street fighter when let loose soon I cant wait.

Riding me R1 home from it`s 1,000 klm service I thought well, it`s run in I can give what for. I had run it up to 7 a few times up in the hills but I grabbed a few handfulls heading onto the by pass.

Gosh its fast.

K&N filter, a set of Leo carbons and a PC3 and the mid range improves dramatically. Love the sound of the big banger motors and the Leo's brings that out sensationally.

After a 1,000k'sis a good time to do the sags on your suspension too.

Needs a tail tidy too :)

Tail tidy is on, the genuine Yamaha slip ons that were apart of the deal on the `10s are... coming. I plan on getting myself back up to spec before I attack the suspension, I alreay know it`s gonna need a few pounds more front spring atleast.

I am at 92kg currently and need to get down into the mid 80`s, I`ll do that and in a couple months I`ll be starting to think about going right through the forks and shock. Prolly an Ohlins kit in the front, revalve and new oil front and rear.

Once I get the pipes I will most assuredly get it tuned to clean it up.

The cross plane engine isn`t reeeeeally a big bang engine but it`s a catchy phrase. The tech has been around a while too.

But GRUNT! Holy dooley bottom end and mid range its just bulltwang.

The sound and feel of the engine was what sold me. I just liked the whole package really.

Weather good tomorrow morning I`ll be off up the hills, this really is fun.

Hey guys!

Just signed on and thuoght this was a good place to start.

I currently ride a naked SV1000 daily and an '02 gsxr 600 at track days.

My last bike was cbr954, awesome bike 'till I tried to ride it through a Volvo.

Hey John, nice move - I bought my SV 15 months after my crash when I could bend my knee enough to ride it.

3 weeks later had more surgery on it!

Nothing will make you recover quicker than knowing that baby is waiting for you!

Gives you time to fit a few more accessories to it as well...

I have 1979 GSX 1100, KTM Duke, Kawasaki Meanstreak and a Yamaha 650 custom. Had a WR500 for 15 years but sold it, gee I miss it. With these and 7 cars in the family thank god for Shannons.
