Posted 18/11/03 01:26 PM Share Posted 18/11/03 01:26 PM Just curious as to what weight the synthetic oil is they use at the dealers for the Boss 290's with the view perhaps that one could use this oil in their T cars motor on their next service? Again maybe our Ford tech's or Oil man could enlighten us?

Please correct me if wrong.

What wrong with using the recommend grade? And I'm assuming that the brand is a matter of personal preference rather than anything else, no? By the time he got from Brissy to Fishermans wharf (Gold Coast) his dipstick was dry as a nun's. From then on I've stayed with mineral & am still of the opinion that Pennsylvanian Oil, ie Pennzoil is the best mineral oil going around & that comes from years of the tacho being in the RED zone. However my "T" was delivered with Magnatex & will have nothing else put in it whilst I own it.Scotty

If you picked your car up new, it wouldnt have magnatex in it, it would have whatever the factory put in it! Magnatex was probably on the lube sticker stuck on your windscreen. We certainly dont change the oil in the T's as part of Pre delivery.
