sorry to say but DOT APPROVED means squat here in AUSTRALIA. Only in America. MT ET Streets are DOT approved. But DOT approved is NOT an approval on aussie roads.

if the r888's where better then the ET Streets, then im sure everyone would be using them on the track. Big call claiming r888's are better then the ET streets.

Mind you when using a semi slick, anything over 18" is useless anyway (well 17" for any car trying to put real power down).

I've used r888's they were good on the strip, but I didn't have an LSD at the time to really test them... But they were fantastic on wet roads, best tyres I've ever driven on in the wet by a mile..

You can get nitto radials in 20"

The KPM street fighter uses r888's on the rear at the drags

Tried the Nitto Invo's and their semi slick too, went through 2 sets, they were good but as you say andrewd the R888's are the best tyres even driven on. :download:

Just trying to let people know there is other rubber out there and from my testing these do the best job so far. :beerchug:

Dont ET Streets need a burnout to work as intended? If so then the R888 would be better for road use as would the federal 595rsr's that I use which I found is a 140 tread wear and not the 160 like I thought!

that's some good results blow off.

Wonder why there are no drag racing classes with r888's. Only hear about ET Streets ever used on high powered cars running 10s and faster. 1.6x's with them is awesome though through a 20"!!!!

KU36's don't get rave reviews by turbo owners. Mat had some that developed eggs, Dean hated them. They are cheaper for a reason really. R888's are loved by all who can afford them. You've got a special box and I'd say putting down more than 370 if it was a normal manual or BTR/ZF. You're in expensive tyre territory, face it! :3gears:

Well they are a little more but how's $1200 sound for 315/20/20's. that's a sh*t load of real quality rubber. Toyo have only been imported the 20's for a few months now.

Here is a few of the sticky black bits.... Nittos/Pirelli's and couple of sets of the R888's. :innocent:

The Ute chews and spits out rubber so have to have some in stock, LOL. :beerchug:

Dave (Blueboost) my Tuner got me onto the R888's he runs them on his tuned only FPV Turbo and runs flat 11's all day.
