That's pretty much how he talks, no time for drawing breath let alone punctuation. He could spiel out that entire first post in about 12 seconds I reckon!

As for the topic I've got nothin'. There are a few decent blokes selling cars but they usually get the sh*ts with what they have to work with and get the fck out.

All the crap with looking up rate cards etc. is part of a game, most of them would have a fair idea off the top of their head what prices and margins they are dealing with...but will pull out the pen and paper and run around speaking with randoms for 20 minutes to try and make you think they are throwing together the best deal possible.

Thankfully my last purchase was via a recommendation from this joint and it took about 10 minutes of discussion in-person, couple of follow-up phone calls and the deal was done. Shame that's not the norm.

And no Nicky Expensive Daewoo dealers are no better. A friend was buying a craptiva last year and was getting royally stuffed around, I went in with her the third time and made a bit of a scene (it was embarrassing apparently) and the bullsh*t stopped and a best price was finally given about $3k cheaper than the previous only-available-right-now-we-need-a-deposit best price. Friggin scabs.

I think the only place you get decent customer service is at the luxury/european dealers...and you certainly pay for the privilege.

The Ford place where I bought my Typhoon and BF one tonner was awesome, I got prompt attention always, treated fairly and well, got good prices and free shizzle.

The service dept I found only happiness.

They went broke and shut.

The End.

RIP Denmac.

Ford dealerships suck. When I purchased my G6ET, I had to go to three dealerships.... the first two spun me so much crap and were really trying to rip my arse on price with my trade in... it was frankly insulting.

The third place I went to had a good bloke working there, didnt spin too much crap and just made a good honest offer and I signed within the first 15 minutes. Its easy when being treated properly and being offered acceptable trade in/pricing.

The problem was that the next time I went in a few weeks later, he had left. I tracked him down and he told me he left cos he had been working for ford for a few years at a couple of dealerships and whilst the product was good, the support and dealership owners were rubbish. He was now working for Volvo... it must be bad when they are losing good sales guys to Volvo!!!

Stuff me. They shut the doors ??? I heard Ford and other private enterprises were going to do their best to keep them open. Bugger.

You can smile again, new owners have signed the paperwork to purchase Denmac, give it 2 weeks to sort out all the legals and it will be full steam ahead again, this will also mean alot of the good staff that "lost" their jobs will be back at work :) Happy days, its been a bastard dealing with some of the other local Ford Dealers :bangcomputer:
