WOW, I havn't been on here for a while ( sorry ), I wasn't trying to start any arguements, just interested to see what my fellow ford lovers liked, we all have different opinions, and to be honest that's what I was after, as many different ideas as possible.I personally don't know if the "jap wheels" really suit the car, but I havn't seen to many with them on,both points being covered before. With the roads up here being as crap as they are 20's scare me alittle buckled rims e.t.c, but they look so good.

I really like the deep dished look on the back, but find that some of the fronts, even though they are 8.5's,just don't look quite wide enough.I really like wagmans wheels they look fantastic but the front looks like it could do with being just a fraction deeper, but maybe the guard won't allow you to, looks f@#$ing hot anyway.

Well anyway I really appreciate ALL of the opinions guys and keep them coming, tax time now hehehehe. :icon_ford:

I've seen a matt black FG F6 with jap style rims, and to tell you the truth it looks pretty damn good.

I guess it all depends which Jap style rims you get.

Yes Jap wheels are good quality, but that doesnt mean you put them everything.. They are made for a purpose, light weight and strong probably for racing, rather than just to look good on a 'luxury' falcon that's probably never goin to see a drag strip let alone a track.. Sure on a XR, performance based falcon but on a G6/old man who likes to go a bit fast car? Dont think so... IMO argents dont suit FG T's just the F6's (but better on B series) There are heaps of good wheels that would suit a G6, just have to look around and its your car, your the one that had to look at it everyday..

Mika I don't know where the old man stuff comes from but I'm only 37, and this car will most definately see the drag strip. As for going a bit fast well I have certainly done that, with a string of fast fords in the past and quite a few others, least of which was a 460 big block in an xb running 9's. I must admit im not looking for that again but I want it to look as good as it goes and love the understated look of the g6e turbo and with all the good bits inside, I had my choice of a xr6t or the g6e and choose the better value for money car imo. :icon_ford:

Mika - you have explained exactly what I think also....ha ha

Lightning- take your car down the strip, still fit for purpose. But surely you would admit that most G6 owners are not that way inclined - from what you said, maybe you should have bought an F6....fast and (slightly) exclusive without the cardigan image? But on topic anyway, there are thousands of wheels to choose from, so enjoy :drinks:

cbxrt most the guys I know with g6 are going for the street sleeper look including myself and they are not stocko's, I drove a f6 aswell, nice car absolutely, but not what I was looking for, I would have to say that the xr6t, g6e turbo and the f6 were all very close in performance just the g6 has all the options with the power.

Personally I'm not really that wrapped with the look of the "jap wheels" I know there lighter but it has to look the way you want it too aswell, im not that serious with this car down the quarter that saving weight on wheels that don't look good is something that appeals to me, if I was, there are alot better wheels that I could go for than the "jap wheels" available of the shelf in australia.

And thanks mate I will keep a keen eye out for some nice wheels, I would really like a set of simmons wheels (b45 look ) they look nice. :icon_ford:
