My accountant has been nagging me to get a new car seeing the FG F6 will be three years old in September this year.

A few questions how much do you think I would get for the FG trade in? or private sale? Have seen them on Car Sales for high 48k - 54k.

2008 FG F6 310 - Dash Green

Car tuned by Autotech @ around 307KW at the wheels.

Growler Cold Air Induction

GFB Blow Off Valve

20" Foose Rims (Have the original 19" rims in the garage may well put them back on before sale).

Full MTX Audio System all speakers replaced with MTX, 2 amps and 2 x 12" Subwoofers in custom enclosure in the boot.

Leather

Sunroof

Tinted Windows

54,000kms.

I was thing of maybe getting a new Ford Territory Titanium with all the bells and whistles.. keep that for a few years and maybe change back to a FPV when Ford bring out the Series II or III or new replacement.

What are your thoughts?

Although a new Territory is a good thing, I think being a new model, it might have a few bugs to iron out.... where your F6 is a few models in, and all the problems are gone.

Keep the F6. Think also you might get bored with the Terry's power output.

I wouldnt trade it, unless you need to make a loss on it for tax purposes but then again you need to know what the depeciated value is as well otherwise you might end up paying tax on the sale of it.

I suspect Ford would not offer more than $40K at best, and using the Redbook guide possibly less.

Redbook F6

The options will add SFA from a trade perspective but would appeal to a private buyer.

You need to factor in the color as well :icon_ford:

The Terry would be a big step back in performance from the F6. Is that the road you wanna take? New Terry would be nice and all with a turbo diesel but I think a Series II FG would be worth waiting for. Mmm GT.

Chris, I would keep it and wait for the FG2's and see what they are offering.

A new FG2 GT with the blown 5lt would be a nice upgrade, as opposed to a SZ Terri. I personally was disapointed with the new SZ, so I bought a Jeep.

There are also better way to lose money than cars, although I do not think they are as fun
