When I have the kids, apparently they cant sit in the back of the Turbo ute, even though they would enjoy it.I decieded to by a Fairlane By Tickford as a second car. I did a comparison on them becuse the girlfriend thought it was too big for her to drive, and found a few interesting things:Apart from the obvious power differance, the FG Ute is longer, wider, and heaver than the long wheelbase Fairlane! It is amazing in how far cars have come in 10 years. At $70000 The Tickford Fairlanes were $20000 more than a standard Fairlane and even cost more than an LTD. Only 100 or 106 were made. They had a whoping 195kw and 430nm. 0-100 in 8.1!My mate said to me he cant wait till he sees how I drive a v8, and I said "slowly I would imagine". With the exception of a few small areas the old work ute, has got more features and luxuary than the top os the line 1998 Fairlane.Where will the next 10 years take us?........
