thanks for the info, but for the moment (especially since im trying to save cash), from whats been done and the car as it stands, has had that tune and mods for 50000 kms and hasnt missed a beat, suppose it about individual experiences as to how you chose to go, good to hear you got the issues sorted though.

its all about how you drve, the wrx boxes r fukd by a harsh 1-2 change 90% of the time, which is why I drive it accordingly. Im not harsh on the box, and by the looks of things neither was the previous owner, plus, to be honest, I'd be alright with the box going bang coz that means I get to put either an sti box or straight cut in it which is what I want anyways.

I have driven same car with smaller turbo and I prefer the upgrade, the timing of boost coming on feels beter to me, thanks for the info though,

they are definitely fun to drive, havent stopped boosting since I got it lol, all you can hear around the northern suburbs of adelaide is tshhhhhh lol.

Its actually funny you say about the 220kw thingy coz I was told not 1 hour ago on rex net it was bogus and I shoud be making 160kws, so I <3 Bananas knows lol, dont think donnan liked having the acusation his dyno was sh*t thrown around lol... but anyways, im still feeling my way around for a bit, gettin to kno whats what in wrx world again, after not having one for 4 years.

Cheers mate

that's good for you.... as you can see if you read this thread this has nothign to do with a conversation at hand, this car was tuned by MRT,

if you have oppinions about tuners and workshops why dont you start your own thread, title it-

"I am trying to piss off all the people who can stop my car from bowing up".

couldnt care less what he's like as a person, he knows his sh*t and that's all I care about.

Actually the cylinder layout has very little to do with the sound of these things. Because the turbo is mounted off to one side, the exhaust manifold is very short on the rhs, and long on the lhs. The uneven lengths are what give it the 'boxer' sound. When you install equal length extractors for a twin scroll setup, there is no boxer note, just your typical thrashy 4 cylinder sound.
