Turned out they don't stock them.I asked about how to seal the thread and the guy was adamant to avoid plumbing tape. He was definite on using Loctite 243 though. As for actually getting them, it seems like mail order from the US is the way to go at this stage. Or get a local shop to order them in from Rocket Industries (if they actually have them in stock).

(I have tried various sealants for this task inc 243 and the sealants don't like being loosened, plus most are anaerobic and will only seal on the exclusion of air. If you don't want to use PTFE tape use plain grease or a non hardening sealant)

Loctite 243 is a thread locker so will hold the nipple (he he he) in once tightened.Once you crack it it the sealant will be hard and flakey, not what you want I breaks(ABS modulator!}.Pretty sure 243 will crack with not much heat on it or even a spanner with a slight bit of muscle. I know we use heat to crack 620 (green High strength sealant) on rifle flash supressors, they get bout as hot as breaks I'd say if not hotter and they are still hard to get off . I'm sure calipers reach more than this. Not wanting to undermine any one but with breaks you dont stuff around.I love the idea of self bleeding nipples cos it would stop the misses whinging bout a sore leg pumping the breaks whie I bleed em. Its just imagine IF? the insurance company found the cause of brake failure was thread sealant tape. (Which the fluid will probably dissolve) but just in case? Totally agree about the loctite tho! When I say use thread tape im talking a turn or two to seal the thread when its backed off. If used properly it will not enter the system.Safest options A: Use two persons too bleedB: Use Grease (or vaso) on the threads to seal and use speed bleeders Lets talk caliper placement when bleeding the stock and premo calipers on these cars, thats a whoooooole new kettle of fish

I have used four methods of bleeding brakes successfully and dont used any grease or tape anywhere. I think some are being a bit anal in the process. There's a debit on my card of $A35.85 so I'm guessing that's itThe speed bleeders from that side are $US7.00 each (ie not per pair). Other sites have them for around $US10 per pair (ie the Russell ones come in pairs). If I was only buying a set of four for one car then I'd buy them from there but I'm going to buy 24 - 8 for my Brembos, 4 for girlfriend's taxi, 4 for girlfriend's ute and 8 for whatever else I get up to in the future. Buying 24 of them from Speed Bleeder means about a $50 difference. Bugger.I'm probably going to order some Hawk ceramic pads for the Brembos from No Limit Motorsport (http://www.nolimitmotorsport.com) and am waiting to hear back from them to see if they can supply the 639630 nipples as well. Jegs (http://www.jegs.com) sell them but only have 5 in stock at the moment.Edit: decided to order the 5 pairs that Jegs have in stock but when you get to the final checkout point there's an International Air Express charge of $51.22. I dropped it down to 2 pairs and the charge didn't alter. Just a leeeeeeeeedle bit too much for something that will fit in a normal envelope... So much for simplifying the process with these bleeders when you have to undo and reposition the calipers to bleed them properly anyway.
