dangreene Member 53 Member For: 17y 9m 12d Posted 07/06/11 06:14 AM Share Posted 07/06/11 06:14 AM Hey guys ive just bought an xr6 turbo ute and the clearances are HUGE to say the least, I know its good for high boost levels but at 20psi I just dont need that bigger clearance.....the pistons are noisy as fek! its almost unbareable, Nizpro said last friday theyd never heard one that loud!its got all the good bits like billet rods blah blah blah so im looking at buying new pistons and getting them put in to shut it up abit.can anyone give me a rough price from experience on what itd be worth to have the motor pulled out and have new pistons put in? (not including the price of the pistons).just tossing up between fg f6 bottom end and rebuilding this one as its got good rods already! You might make it better but It will never be as quiet as stock.
