Posted 06/06/11 10:25 AM Share Posted 06/06/11 10:25 AM I have a friend who has just bought an XR6 N/A sedan.....When she went to the dealer, she basically found what she was looking for but it didnt have leather interior so they said they would give her a leather interior as part of the deal.I suspect that they are going to swap over the interior from another car.....so it got me wondering....Just what is involved in changing out one interior for another?....is just the seats?....door trims?.....or more stuff as well? The fit and finish on the FGs is better and the quality looks better, but looks can be deceiving. My thoughts would be that the dealer uses an external trimmer to recover the existing seats. And then the dealers even tell nice lies instead of just being grumpy. I guess they do get hungry when their being out sold 3 to 1 every month by their nearest competitor.
