Gidday, I'm a G6e Turbo newbie. I have just bought a demo 50th anniversary and pick it up in a couple of weeks. Really can't wait to pick it up. This is my first Ford I've owned(although I have driven plenty of Ford company cars over the years) I am a Expensive Daewoo fan having come from a VZ V8 and spent loads of $$$ modifying it. But credit where credit is due the G6E Turbo looks to be a great car so I decided to give the Ford a go.

I'm having a few things added at the dealer, towbar, matching spare, drilled alloy pedals and also having the wheels done in black. Got a Harrop brake kit and lowered Lovells and Bilsteins on order to be fitted as soon as I pick her up. Looking forward to the first drive, luxury and performance.

Has anyone had their factory 19" wheels redone in black?

Do you have any photos you could post up?

$500 for all 5 wheels(includes removing tyres, sand blasting, satin black powder coating, refit and balance tyres).

Cost around half just to get them sand blasted and coated but then I have to remove refit and balance myself and also I have a car with no wheels while it all happens.

Ive seen a company advertising wheels painted from $200. Probably extra to strip & refit tyres but would only be $20 a wheel?

Pretty sure there called Bayside customs? Bayside something.

I don't think the harrop brakes will fit with the factory 19's as the G6E rims don't clear brembo's

I'm assured the Harrops will, Brembos don't.

The workshop supplying and who will fit them told me this.

That's about right, $50 a wheel and that would be a low price as many charge much more(here in perth).

So to do it all myself it would be at least $350 and I still have a car on blocks in my drive/garage with no wheels(unless I had 4 spares which I don't)

To mind the extra I may be paying is worth it compared the extra work/inconvenence I would have to do it myself..

good place to go for wheel repairs and painting is advanced alloy wheel repairs, in moorabbin.

They quoted me at least $1000 to get mine painted black, looked like they did quality work but.
