What tyres are you guys running on the turbos?

I blew away the dunflops was like a 4wd they were that noisey, I've got falken fk452's on there now, they were very smooth putting on hooked up well, not much left on the rears to hook up anymore though they are semi slicks at the moment.

Were a bit rich $370 a corner and from memory I had a hard time trying to find them.

front are still ok rears are too daggy to put on the front so will either put some more falkens on if I can find cheaper.

what are these things on ebay like for a few hundred bucks? or are they a bit deadly

Nitto's are $220 each at that size from one of the sponsors. I put up a review thread about them with a quick summary of my thoughts. At that price, it's highly unlikely that you'll find anything better.

I just got my turbo 5 weeks ago and it had maxxis tyres on them. I ended up getting some brand new achilles atr sports. First thing I notice is more grip straight away. Not noisy at all. They were 190 each corner fitted and balanced.

Were the maxxis running low on tread? That would account for the extra grip...

Someone on here has run 11.0? on maxxis 19's... I doubt they lack grip...

Yeah the tread helps :)

So they grip how long do they last though?

The falkens I've had a decent run with very happy with them its just you cringe when putting the foot down as you just left $100 of rubber on the road behind you.

They were bloody smooth as when new, it was like you were driving over a heap of pillows (not that I've tried it), sooo soft. I remember doing a mountain run on the way back down when they were newish bit hot the rubber seemed very soft weird sensation in the car I pulled over for a look, they were just very sticky, glued to the road the car moving about slightly.
