Just an update on my car after having the zf serviced 5 weeks ago with transmax z. When cold the shifts feel a little erractic, especially 3-4, feels like the torque converter is locking unlocking between shifts.

Once warmed up, it feels fine but don't know if this is doing the auto harm.

Heard good things about mainlube oil and additives, but what I hear there a bit pricey. Let us know how you go.

Was around $20/L so not the cheapest stuff around - but hey hey don't chuck the cheapest stuff we can find in the engine do we.

I intend on haviing the power increased up to the 350ish mark again withing a month, won't get the gearbox done just yet so I can see how it goes with the mainlube oil.

Will be the 4th oil this box has seen, including the factory stuff, so I know how a few of them compare now.

Well honestly I was happy with the transmax, but realised noone had tried the mainlube stuff so I put my hand up to be the guinea pig. Plus I got a hold of a proper steel pan kit from ze germans.

With a lot of different oils being put through these boxes I just wanted to see if this stuff was another option. If it goes good then I will say so, if it's like that sh!t we flushed after 500k's then I'll say so. If it's sh*t then it's only cost me a few hundred and everyone else wins, just like when I posted up which penrite stuff not to use. If it's good then we all have another option.

So far I haven't got above 60k's in it but it feels fine, I will try to do a few WOT 3rd to 4th changes this weekend to compare the slip with the Transmax.
