Didnt get above 100 on the dyno.

An now with it back it the car I am using a new engine oil cooler for the trans and while cruising and around town (stop start in traffic) it doesnt get above 60degrees. Can the trans run to cold...?

I havent tried the transbrake as yet

dont mind thread jacks at all when theres genuine input even if its got nothing to do with the car.

Would be really interesting to see why its doing what its doing. when ya spend the money on a proper built box you'd hope this would never happen

Yes a trans can run to cold and have a negitive effect on performance/shifting

How cold is to cold..? Does anyone know the optimum temp..?

Im running a pretty big cooler 280x250x50 and with the B&M pan took 13litres from empty.

Each oil has a operating temp id say that info u would get from the products web site

Expensive trans coolers have a thermostat in them so it keeps it at least at a base temp.

Its common to hear of racers talking about oil temps and how it effects et's ( engine/trans )

C4's arent that bad.

Mine runs anywhere from 150 -180f when cruising, and has seen over 200+f after a few hard laps at powercruise / WSID.

If your having issues with it slipping, maybe speak to Al's race glides. He knows how to build them to handle decent power.
