I am at the stage were I want to do something to help it to 60 foot ASAP.Just trying to work out were to best spend the money (which isn't a lot ATM) I love the Manual box eventhough slower down the 1/4 just great to have on the street.I would love to strengthen everything, put some slicks on and just give it hell and see what it could do??? but at the same time its good to be able to drive to the drags try and get a PB then drive home and do F/all to the car.I will keep a eye out on this topic mate. I hope you get your Tramp rods sorted with minimal fuss.Take it easy.Tysspend ya money on track time, you can do whateva mods you want but without track time you arnt gona do squat. you should be able to get a sub 2sec 60footer with some skills. tramp rods are good but theres other ways around the tramp, decent shockers with adjustable rebound is the way to go. the ute is a fat arse as it is you dont need a few more kg of unsprung weight on the back end. I do second gear burnout in the wet 6k for a few seconds then hold it onto the track upto the lights.Very interesting Mate, I will look in the Ute section about the 4link. Do you have any idea when you might have it completed. Also that's now quite a few who have said start your burnout in 2nd, I will try this in a couple of weeks time. So you think even though it sounds like times won't improve the Short Shifter is well worth it?Thanks again Mate I am always learning.Tys

At the moment that just seems so hard to get. Don't get me wrong I will only stop trying when somthing snaps So do you think with a FG stock rear end set up that 60foot could be achived? or do you think I would have to be heading in your direction with some suspention tailoring. I did a 1.9 in my ute with stock 18s so its possible just have to slip the clutch dont over do it though. get a shifter or drive a manual fpv they have the better gear stick way better then xr6t. 2nd (3rd if ya game) is the go just pull up in the water rev it to 5-6k then step off the clutch then on the brakes count to 5 then let it rip onto the sticky stuff that's what I do you well feel how sticky it is first time I thought I broke something. nankang ns-2 ultra softs hook up good I ran 265s on my stock 18s run at 20psi and pump the fronts up high to keep the friction down

I have only ever put my rears down to about 27 - 28PSI, there KU36 Khumo Semi slicks. I really believe after reading as much as I can my tyres are no were near hot/sticky enough to launch as hard as I need to. By the way well done on your 1.9 60footer with a manual ute. Thanks againTys
