gkors Member 32 Member For: 13y 6m 24d Posted 31/05/11 10:51 PM Share Posted 31/05/11 10:51 PM Gday,I've got a BF Mk2 Turbo the newer build with side flutes etc..... bought new end of 07Anyway just sick of being shafted by these pricks at Ford. Unfortunately I took out a mechanical protection plan at the time of purchase so the car has to be serviced by the same mob. :(So yeah theres been a bit of history with these guys, a LOT of stuff done wrong, photos etc of the things, I have pointed out to them, blew up one time and got $400 back off them refunded for a service. Were talking from injector wallet flushe where they miss putting the intake insulators back on and she falls out at the turbo.... air cleaner swinging in the breeze, brake fluid pissing everywhere the services have been a bloody joke, you wouldn't do some of this stuff to an old bomb.I think I've been asked 4 times for a coolant and brake change in 3 years its been done once, 4 times again for tyre rotate, its like talking to a brick wall, then they ring you up and say err did you want a coolant flush? umm no mate I said no this morning.... etc etc the best one was rolling up with new tyres and the guy said your front tyres are a bit scuffed, you need a rotate balance and wheel alignment.Question for the guys in the know, what sort of things should be done on the car, I'm happy to do them myself have built a few cars in my life older stuff though haven't played with newer cars.around 70K on it, driven fairly hard, gearbox diff oil etc can't believe this doesn't need changing?? injectors? they tried to get me $190 injector clean said no I don't see the point in spending money on injectors if they dont do fuel filter etc.Any info would be appreciated. Worst part is lining up for service and there is some lady dropping the car in they are going you need this, this, this, this done and they just agree can't imagine the bill, they must be making a killing ripping people off.I forgot about the $90 wiper blades too that need doing every service. Sounds like Byrne Ford...had similar dealings there in the past and would rather drive straight past the scabs and go elsewhere. If you're looking at doing the serviceable items yourself it's all pretty much listed in the handbook. Are you wanting to keep the dealer warranty though? If so there's not a great deal you can do other than continue using them or take them to the dept of fair trading and try and get your money back. Depends how you drive it really.

Posted 01/06/11 06:01 AM Share Posted 01/06/11 06:01 AM (edited) If you have to use Ford then go up to Brendale to Torque ford. They are actually alright just ask for Michael. Metro in the city are pathetic and their service department is a joke. The sales team used to be alright but that's slipped as well and like the servce dept they just dont give a sh*t about customer service. I have the extended warranty through them although if you read the small prints its pretty much worthless. Its not worth the headache of having those monkeys work on my car just to keep the extra 60ks or what ever it was.RDP at kipparing on the Northside is a good shop and they know their stuff or Elite on the southside. Are you wanting to keep the dealer warranty though? If so there's not a great deal you can do other than continue using them or take them to the dept of fair trading and try and get your money back. You'd be spot on, didn't want to name them not sure on the forum rules etc. Certainly do Byrne your walletI've been to other dealers however the warranty is with the other joint so has to be done there. Have spoke to some other dealers they know all about them and love them as they get all the pissed off clients. After a service when I found lots of dodgey sh*t I went straight back in and banged all the sh*t out the aircleaner on his desk and asked if that was clean. Questioned them about a few things they didn't know what to say, sat there like a bag of potatoes. The big boss man approved the refund then took off with his tail between his legs without speaking to me. Class act, then next visit its the same thing all over again, coolant, wipers, rotate tyres, flux capacitator. Then they offered to clean up the mess to degrease some stuff, mind you I washed, clay barred, and polished it on the weekend came out with water and sh*t everywhere, almost rotate and balanced the guys head.Haven't actually looked into the warranty should do, probably not even worth looking at, $400 a service or thereabouts I can do the oil and filter buy a few cartons of beer and some new tools. Would love to hide some cameras in the car and see what they really do to it.I've also got a bent exhaust that appeared after a diff bush was done too. Will get all my service records and go and get my money back...If you see a falcon parked across blocking their driveway that's me in there getting a refund.
