It is really easy there is two vacuum lines that connect onto the actuators on the back of the mufflers. pull out the little vacuum line and plug it with a screw and cable ties. the vacuum lines are pretty much a boost line so when you drive normally they shut. as soon as there is boost it opens. really simple and easy once you have a good look. just remember to plug the lines as these go right back to the motor and u dont wont unfiltered crap getting sucked in. onces you have removed them. your car will spit and crackle like a real V8. a mate of mine heard me the other day and said it is the loudest and nicest v8 he has ever heard. and this bloke lives and breathes LS V8s (Expensive Daewoo Garbage)

Cheers

my theory is the GT and GS are the same car for the exception of 4 pot brembos and some body kiting, is that worth 11.5K extra.

Hey guys,

I have a quick question, If Brembo's and a body kit are pretty much the difference between the GT and GS, what are the differences between the GT and the GT-P ?

Is it worth while paying the extra and going the GT-P ?

cheers

Nup, IMHO the GT is the car to aim for....... the seats in the GT-P really turn me off.

Disconnected the vac lines to the bi-modal valves like cranny said & it sounds FAT.... Love it, love it maybe a bit to much. Was playing with the throttle today on our way to the Mid Winter Wander cruise to the Hunter Valley Gardens & got pulled over by a XR6 Turbo h/way patrol. Got the chat & put on the bag (had a few last night) but all good, they didn't have the radar turned on so no ticket. VERY LUCKY. Anyway, if you get the chance to drive a GS or GT, do it. Cheers, skoie.

G'day people, Its been a while since Ive posted here but I've chopped in the old XR6T ute and just bought a FPV GS ute. I just wanted to say that if your in the market for one of these you would be very suprised at what you can get one for if you lean on your dealer......I'm lucky enough to have my Sister working high up within the Ford Motor company so the deal I got was to good to pass up. I can say that you CAN get a GS ute for well under the RRP if your in the market for one. My whole family is in the trade and the car game is well and truly rooted ATM and your dealer will let them go at cost just to move them and get the numbers on the board.

Take care all, Paul.

The title is appropriate !! 'In Need of Help!'..........Over the weekend , I tripped over a Brand new BF Mk II Cobra RSpec .. The gentleman stated he brought the car as a investment and was now keen to cash in .. He stated , he has had the car on blocks , covered and has been for sale from the day he brought it at a asking price of $120,000 - and stated in the following breath that he would consider offers of $60k+ ..

Without being 'rude and offensive' to current owners of BF Cobra 's .. I was thinking that the car would be a good deal and not a steal at $40's - considering you can purchase a BF GT-P from mid $20's and with the current crop of GT 335 asking mid $60's , and the RSpec at high $70's .. I can not see the Cobra getting close to $60's .

Is my estimate of the car value incorrect ? - Is it a $60k car? . Should it be considered ? If so, at what price ?

Your thoughts and comments would be very welcomed
