DATE:Sunday 19th June 2011 *NEW DATE* (As it may rain alot on the following weekend originally planned.)

DESCRIPTION:

Leave Pakenham Bunnings and head down south on a cruisy highway to Loch. Then here's where we hit the first lot of twisties as we wind our way across the ridge top down to Wonthaggi. Then, we head off to cool our heals along some scenic coastal road with a photo opp stop just before our lunch stop in Inverloch. After a lunch at the Paul the Pieman in Inverloch, we head off through the second set of twisties up towards Korumburra, cross the South Gippy Highway and then head further north through the third set of twisties into Warragul via hilly Strzeleki. After that, it's easy highway cruising back towards hometown Melbourne.

All up actual route is about 220km which should take about 5 hours of your day (including pit stops and lunch) and all on sealed roads. Importantly, please ensure you have good tread on your tyres as the roads can be slippery this time of year.

MEET:

Depart 10am Bunnings, Pakenham (on main road through Pakenham)

BRING:

CB Radio (optional), Camera, Sunnies :cool1: , Warm clothes (it's Winter after all)

RULES:

1. Obey all laws whilst on the cruise; this means no speeding, no overtaking over double lines (no matter how safe you think it may be), etc...

2. There is a designated cruise leader who will lead the way and set the correct pace for all cruise members.

3. Use the Buddy system - always make sure you can see the car behind you. This will give people behind you an indication on where to turn to make sure nobody gets lost.

4. CB Radios - if you don't have one, follow the maps and directions given out. It is highly recommended to have CB as it enhances the enjoyment of the cruise being able to hear about road hazards and join in on the social chatter.

5. Please turn up to the meeting points with a sufficient fuel in your tank and enough time before the departure time.

6. Onus is on the owner/driver to ensure their vehicle is safe to drive on public roads and meets State road traffic authority laws.

7. Please ensure you have a contingency plan if you have a breakdown or unnecessarily delayed. e.g. Roadside Assistance or a mate in another car who is willing to stay with you if necessary.

8. If you wish to post this cruise up on any other social media site e.g. facebook, myspace, twitter - please obtain permission from the Cruise Controller/Mod organising the cruise first.

9. By attending this cruise you agree not to hold FordXR6Turbo.com, it's Administrators, Moderators, Cruise Controllers, or Owner responsible / liable for any damage and / or grief sustained (simply; you are responsible for your own actions).

Thanks mate - hope you can make it as it's a good route - bit of a sleeper as only the locals would probably know about the the Loch - Wonthaggi leg - it's not on a major route and the views driving down into Wonthaggi are awesome :beerchug:

Yeah, been buggin Ruddy for a while now to come up with a route. We'll see though. PM me if you know of any good roads out your way and we could come up with something
