on-goin squeaking on my FG XR6. Just ordered the 2012 DBA 4000T3 rotors for front and back. $157.00ea, delivered from Racebrakes Sydney. Hope to gain much improved braking and be rid of that bloody sqeaking once and for all.

Mine's getting worse again with the hot weather :)

Put something on the pads to absorb the vibrations that cause the brake noise.

I used to use some CRC brake goo on the back of brake pads:

but these days I'm using "Bendix Ceramic High Performance Synthetic Brake Lube".

I bought a bottle of the stuff for about $35 because I'm changing brake pads regularly on two taxis, but for just the occasional use you would be ok to get the cheaper sachets.

You would also put a coating on the sides of the backing plates - where they sit in the caliper. Something like this:

I own a fg xr6 turbo ute its only a year old and the brakes are making an annoying squeak/rattle over bumps and in general driving (first noticed about 10 months old) sounds like a bird chirping
Are you sure it's not the handbreak shoes? Mine swoosh like crazy in hot weather, most annoying part of my car :bangcomputer:
My handbrake also makes swishing noises :) I can only hear it near walls. A tiny lift and drop of the lever usually silences it.
When my mechanic jacked it up and kicked the wheel you could hear the same sound come out. I havent tried the handbrake might give it a go and see what happens but when the mechanic cleaned the pads and used that shims glue stuff it went away for 2 weeks or so then came straight back.
took it to ford 100 times. they said I got bent axels. I have been told to upgrade terrritory brakes,

Ahem. Check the clip. Something so stupidly simple that you'll curse yourself for having to put up with the squeaking noises at all.
