judging by there website they look like they know what there doing, they have some potent cars in there. noticed they tune mark arblaster's 1100hp valiant war440. I say give them a shot. and see if you can speak to some of his customers to see how they are.

I would have gone there again but they moved even further away - to Ingleburn. that's the only reason.

I was super happy with the work they did to my ke20, tuned the turbo 4age motor really well with the halaltech, and not a problem at all. great customer service and all that.

349 with the stock turbo is un-heard of no wonder they were shocked. 320-330 is absolute max, they simply dont flow enough air.

Anything over 280rwkw, there is major fuel surge. Who did the initial tune?

Also replacing an actuator will result in a nearly a full retune as it completely changes how boost performs across the whole rev range.

Tunehouse is expensive and their numbers seem to be higher due to the hub dyno that they use, however in my case and few people I know, they got it right first time.

hay champ. the tune was done with cresent motorsport. look im happy to go with tunehouse, ive always wanted to but I can afford a full retune. and to be honest nothing makes sense to me at this point in time. I cannot believe how my car pulls out that much power on a stock pump and a stock turbo but its been done. I dont know if you work for tunehouse or not but all I want is my wastegate actuator to be put in and a bit of a touch up on my tune. and while were at it, basically everyone here has alot more knowledge that me at this point, so id like to know your thoughts... how is it possible my car pulling that power out in the first place??

Yep, I have a JEM sticker on each side of my car, and they are there for a very good reason.

As mentioned, the site sponsors generally have it covered and I've been lucky to have my car at a couple of them, I've also driven cars tuned by all of them. The JEM stickers remain on mine...

Ultimately you need to use a tuner that you are comfortable with, if they walk and talk the style you like, go for it! You need to be able to get along with your tuner, not just watch starry eyed while they take your money - remember that and you'll end up happy!

Hey fpv_f6,

Your FG is one of only 4 I know of that that has come close to 350wkws on the stock smaller turbo, and the only manual I know of at 350.

Nizpro did a G6ET that pulled 350, and another on FF made 350odd with E85, Ryno's has 346(?) and they are all autos.

anyone that knows turbos can do the "theory" and work out what the smaller FG turbo can flow in terms of KW, compared to BA BF or FG F6 turbos

You've seen it pull this power plenty of times on CMS dyno, but maybe for peice of mind, run it on another non Ford shops dyno and see how it reads... maybe run it on JEM dyno?

Or do a quarter mile run for a true result.

As we've told you, you can't fit the new actuator without adjusting the tune... which is why you have to pay more than just the labour costs.

If a shop that has never tuned your car, wants $1000 to fit an actuator, they are also going to tune it, which is why it adds up...

Add it up... a few hours to fit $200, cost of the actuator $100-$200, and tune $400-$1000... see how the price varies shop to shop.

Bang for buck you've pretty much got the best deal going... cooler kit, exhaust & tune got you 348kws, theres loads of guys who spent way more and got less mate.

Hope that clears things up mate, if not give me another call :)

Cheers

Chris

Yer I have 342 and 881 torque. Went as high as 357 but valve bounced like a cheap whore so she was reeled in. Don't forget it also comes down to supporting mods. Oh yeah Jim and Tony tuned her, I would say their reputation precedes them.

ok things are starting to get confusing so im going to straight it all out. first at the start, I had loss some power, we thought it was the actuator, we discussed the turbo would have to come off to change it pluss 100 dollars for the part so it was a good $500 all up. fair enough, soon after I realized the turbo does not need to come off considering the part could of been accessed and taken off with the use of a hoist. so I sent my uncle down and all of a sudden the price of the exact same job dropped to a 120-150 bux or soo lol. that's one issue. secondly after purchasing the part and you wore there too chris, the job at the time was as simple as changing the actuator and me handing my flash box for some adjustment, now all of a sudden the storys changed on your end. anyway according to JEM and TUNEHOUSE its impossible to jst hand a flashbox in and change a gate without a new tune. now that theyve said that, youve changed your story and the original idea of me jst handing in my flashbox and getting the actuator changed is out of the picture. and too top it off even if I did change it, it wouldn't make difference because the thing is bolten on, it doesnt work the same as other actuators so ive come to an understanding that theirs a bigger problem at hand and to cover it up, weve focused on changing the actuator and maybe adding a bit more boost to the computer. its either that or there are ways of changing a actuator and avoiding a tune and just adjusting the flashbox. and lastly ive been told by cresent motorsport that my brakes are WARPED due to to much power and the only way to fix it, is spending thousands on bigger brakes. now after speaking to top notch professionals in the market, ive come to realise that firstly I do not need thousands of dollers worth of brakes, all I need is is maybe new pads and a machine clean up because in the end it doesnt matter how much power you have, its how those tires wore put back on and how they wore bolted correctly not that im blaming anyone for that but I was led to believe and almost convinced to purchase expensive material I do not need.

Dude you probably wrote that in a hurry, but spelling, punctuation and grammar would make your post much easier to read and therefore assist you in working out what's going on for you. That was like reading Arabic to me.

having this brought to my attension I'm dumb founded with your inconsistancies & your ability to confuse your self with your own misguidance !!!

The brakes that your are referring to was a question that you had asked me ''what can cause brake shudder'' I then gave you scenairo's, remember !!... then you asked me for a quote on a big brake set....... remember that !!

also other incidents that you have given your car to other ppl to drive for days where they being involved in some minor accident hit the tail pipe & concertinaed the exhaust system remember that again ??? & how you though that you had no power & your assumed there was something wrong, with out hesitation I invited you back for a receck & you brought some of your mate with you, should I say how that went & what your mate did to you !!!

Secondly your Uncle popped in & asked me what was involved in fitting the actuator I explained to him if you can take it off with the bolts coming off easy anywhere from $120-$150 but if the turbo has to come of then it will be more.... where days after both myself & Rapid Systems recive various distraught phone call saying that we have weled the actuator to the turbo...please !!!

I have been in bussines for over 20 years, that right 20 years !!... I run a honest & professional shop & I will defend myself where we have been nothing but patient & open with you...

I invite you to come back so I can return you car back to its stock files bar you injectors settings & happy to give you your money back for the tune charge...

also I draw your attension on the post dated.......... 23/09/10...have a read champ it might jolt your memory, the part about beining on a bugdet....

Joe
