My 044's are fine for a given time but when warm especially on a hot stinking day then it just starts buzzing which I was told is normal?

Mine has just started doing this on the drive home from work today. It is really really loud. I have not even had the thing installed for a year yet.

Did you find out if it was the filter, the rubber or something else entirely?

When it starts next time just head home and leave the car running while you jack it up or drive onto ramp. Just grab hold of the pump and that'll tell you if its loose or touching anything as vibration will be gone. Squeeze it in different areas on the pump and see if that quietens it down. I've seen all sorts of funky sh*t done like big zip ties around the pump to quieten them!

There quality control is just ordinary as mine is ok with some noise yet my mates I cant even here unless I have my ear near it!

I'd buy another one if you think it is that bad, which sounds like it. Pull the old fcker apart and have a good look at the elctric motor.

Does anyone know if there brush or brushless, although I's prob say brush?
