Buf-Phoon loitering with intent Lifetime Members 13,318 Member For: 21y 5m 27d Gender: Male Location: Zombie Birdhouse Posted 18/05/11 08:42 AM Share Posted 18/05/11 08:42 AM Hi allI have a Bosch 044 fitted to a Process West surge tank complete with quietening kit.Pump was always noisy prior to this and quitened down a tad once kit was installed about 7000ks ago,but still got noisy after 3-4 hours on the road in summer.Over the past week in cooler conditions it has started buzzing like a hive a farkin angry bees after about 15 mins,so much so that it now turns heads it's getting that loud.Doesn't appear to be any noticable fueling issues thus farAny ideas , my guess the pump is farked or on the way. Dont like getting embarrassed by noisy pumps. Everyone thinks something really phucked going on.As I ditch the little valve that comes on the outlet end of the pump (most do), I wonder if this maybe is more important than what we think in keeping the pump quiet.
