Hey all,

I recently brought a redback twin 2.5 catback while on holiday in aus and shipped it back. I finally got round to fitting it today and found it to be quite good, came with the gaskets require, all I had to purchase was some bolts to join the centre and tail sections.

While fitting I found that the centre and tail section flanges didnt meet flush, that was underisable. Removed the exhaust and beat the flanges a bit to make them line up better. Refitted put the gaskets in and some red rtv and found it to take up the small gap left.

The note is fantastic, quiet when cruising along and nice tone when giving it a boot full.

I will be fitting a xforce cat/dump pipe in aug when I get the ute tuned.

Also has anyone else had the fitting issues and what have you done or general comments on these exhausts.

Ive got the same exhaust and found it great value for money. My flanges had a little gap but found it closed up when I tightened the bolts up. I finished mine off with some slip on 3 inch tips that are rolled edge like factory ones.

With stock dump and cat I found a little increase in power and love the note and get a few comments on it.

Changing the cat to a 4.5inch 100cell real soon for a tune so will see how it goes then,

I have this exhaust. I have found that mild steel tends to sound deeper than stainless, mainly because xforce etc have very thin walls to keep the price down.

I paid $250aud off an ebay seller as it had scratches in the protective paint from knocks in their warehouse. No dents or anything bad that would cause a restriction or disrupted airflow.

I gave it a crappy respray just to reprotect it. Deals are out there, I couldn't pass it up.

Here is a linky to the sellers page that I got mine from, but as said it was a damaged one so any seller could have them its just searching at the right time.

They dont have any cheapies at the moment.

And now I find they do so I will correct myself, here's a ute catback one same as I got for $299AUD BA/BF Exhaust

As a note I took it for a blast with the center and tail sections off so pipes end at the split after the cat and man did it howl, sounded good thou. Bit too much drone and bit vibie.
