Yeah for the n/a it's fine just not for the turbo, they really need to breath so twin 2.5's or single 3.5 is sort of the minimum.

But yeah it's all a learning curve and I'd consider that as a pretty cheap mistake so don't stress there have been much worse.

3" dump is not the end of the world. Stock Dump is 3" 4" is better but 3" with a good 4" cat will net you your 260rwkw. Keep your dump, fit a good 4" 100CPI cat, weld the front half of a stock turbo exhaust to this. Fit a stock rear section and you'l be laughing.

You just wont have a great deal of head room if you want more power. FWIW BA's see low 300's @ the wheel with 4" cat/dump and stock exhaust.

My old car made 380@ the tire with a 3.5" dump 4" cat and twin 2.5 so your power figure should be easily obtained with the setup mentioned above.

4" dump will also cost you low down response on a low power level like 260rwkw

$350 is fair, check out the classifieds and/or put a wanted ad in there. Turbo exhaust come up all the time. Average moving price IMHO would be around the $250 mark

some1 offered me a xr6 t catback for 50.00 not including postage should this be rite

or save up for few more months and obtain this

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180664369453&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT#ht_672wt_932

the guy has a fabricating shop, and can fabricate the dump to fit my turbo.

should I keep saving n do it rite or opt for the stocker n get it tuned so the cars running right.

IMHP 4" is a bit over the top for an NA motor aiming for 260rwkw. At the end of the day if you want much more power than that your going to need to look at decompressing the motor to handle the higher boost levels. For my money I would keep the cat /dump and fit a stock system.

so just fit the stock exhaust and leave the 3 inch hi flow?

im onli after 260 rwkw for now based on the fact I need to upgrade the transmission before I can go newhere near the 300rwkw zone.

that will keep me busy for awhile along with other suspension/handling mods.

if I change the cat to a 4 inch. and fit the catback I can get for 50 bucks

would this be suited?

or get the full turbo back exhaust and have the bloke weld in the 4 inch into the stock setup and run it from the 3inch dump.

If you buy the full turbo system and get the facotry cast dump elbow and down pipe/cat pipe your wasting money as you wont use this.

im only after 260 rwkw for now

Being a converted NA you will have plenty of other issues that will hold you back from higher power levels before a 3"dump 4" cat stock catback comes into play. If your serious about chasing big power down the track sell the xt and buy and xr6t as a base. Tough advise but it will save you bulk $'s in the long run

Just change the 2.5 section to 3 inch like I said previously, That will be fine for 250rwkw. Dont waste anymore money. Only grab a full turbo exhaust if you can get it for say (free - $50). Tune it ,it will be fine.

so from the cat back to the 2 x2.5 inch dual near the diff I just get them to make it into a 3 inch with a 3 inch high flow cat currently installed?

how much would that be roughly?

cat = 4 inch = 215.00

turbo catback = 50.00 postage = 100.00 max?

welding charge = 50.00

that's estimated at 415.00 postage might be lower just estimating.

that's the costing I had for hiddeous's setup.

If you have a muffler in there it will cost more but if its only a piece of 3 inch pipe could only cost about $100
