Maybe it was just that song that made no different it only takes 10 min to do so maybe I'll try it with a different song and see if that dose anything BUT long run I think I'll still change the sub

I'm going to try again to get it going - if I can get better performance without having to cash out and buy something else I'm in for it, if it has to happen new sub needs to go in - the stock one will only do what it can and im already thinking about ripping it out.

LOL - rattling like a hamster on smack. Little bits of cardboard shoved in the right places go soooo well.

Mine was the not used brake lamp cable. The cable was taped down but the fitting was rattling it's head off.

And a night and day difference? Something is wrong with your sub. In my experience I'm yet to see that sort of change. Many amplifiers will have a phase switch to change polarity and you would struggle to know if it was changed.

I took out my speaker and had a look, it's not that bad a unit. Its not great but better than many cheap branded subs out there. I think the factory amp is crsp,

The Aussie dollar is going well, try eBay us for some great 8" subs.. Plenty to choose from that aren't available here.

Alpine type R, JL w3 & w7 + more. Good prices too

With mine there is no more banging/poping noise that used to occurr. I can actually turn the bass and EQ up a fair bit more. depending on what im playing the rear vision mirror will vibrate. Worked well for me

Volume only goes to 35 not an '11' on the dial of ear bleeding reality though...

Although I was used to having a sub jammed up against the back of the seat that rattled my spine in half the space of a sedan.

You need to use a thin screw driver and lift the small clips inside holding the plugs in (I did mine opposite side to wires) BUT don't waist your time dose nothing I was testing the same song changing the wires over from one side to the other and found it did jack s#%t I agree with dre you want better bass by a new sub

maybe you put the wires back in the same spots?
