My (track only) rims are currently 4 x Enkei RPF01's in 18" x 8.5" in +30 offset with 245/40 semi slick toyo r888's.

These work quite well and it is great having the option to rotate the semis front to rear, but the rears are getting too skinny for the power the car will be putting out soon(over 300rwkw.) Especially at Eastern Creek and Wakefield Park.

As I want to match the black rpf01's and keep the 8.5" x 18" at the front, I have the option of 18" X 10" or 18" X 9.5" +38 offset.

Pretty certain a 9.5" rim with a R888 265/35 semi would do the job but I would love to be able to fit 285's on the 10" rim. Is this possible?

Rear guards may be close? Don't want to run too much rear negative camber.

It will depend on the tire, My 285/35/19´s on 9.5 rears rubbed like mad on the inside of the guard, the lower control blade and the inner skin of the guard.

I rolled and flared the gaurds, gave the top of the wheel well a gentle massage with a mallet and move the control blade in aprox 5mm (which puts a touch of preload on the control blade bushes and helps with tramp)

Now I have no rubbing @ 330 to centre ride height with 1 deg neg camber.

a 10¨ rim with th right offset may help roll the shoulder slightly with a 285 and this may help but get you offset right cause a +35 9.5 has less than 10mm clearance with the stock lower control blade placement.

a 285 on a 9.5 gives me a tire protrusion of aprox 7.5 mm past the bead either side of the wheel

I have a 9 inch wheels all round and have 285's on the rear and thy dont rub what so ever!

I was looking at getting enkeis and they said the 10 will fit on a fg

What is the wheel offset on those and are the 18"?

285 on a 9" rim may have too much sidewall flex on a circuit though?

Is that on a BF or FG?

Not sure I can roll the rear FG guards much, but pretty sure the rear control blades are the same?

My car has been lowered about 30mm. If a +30 rim with 9.5" width has less than 10mm clearance, then a 10" rim will be tight as at +38 as the width alone will protrude it close to 10mm further in! Might be too risky with the available +38 offset, damn! :censored:

BA mate, Cant comment on FG, other than to say that as part of KPM street fighter wheel package they list a "modified lower control arm" for the 10" rear rim. Might pay to get them a call and see whats, what with a 10" rear on an Fg?
