hay guys, got a fg xr6 turbo running at 349 rwkw at 1000nm. im starting to think its to much power for my stock brakes as they have a real bad shudder problem. ive got the disks machined back but it came back alot worse. what are my options?? id like to upgrade to something that wont cause trouble like this. what brands do I go with?? and how much will it roughly set me back including the price of a mechanic putting them in. im guessing I just need front brakes?

Not many bigger brakes clear the stock ford fg 18 or 19" wheels. If you want to upgrade to Front Brembos, you need to go 2nd hand fpv wheels or the select few types that clear. If your car isn't used on the circuit regularly, front dba 4000 rotors, better DOT5.1 fluid and better pads will be fine on the street no matter how much power you have.

:stupid:

I've been very happy with my 4000's and Ferodo pads but if you want to do track work then bigger rotors, 4 or 6 piston calipers and unfortunately different wheels is required. If you want any of this gear then I'd suggest contacting Matt at Race Brakes, Sydney. He sold me all my brake parts for every car I've owned and at great prices.
