Hi I am keen to find out if one of these could be adapted to fit in behind the bumper on a XR6T/F6 etc

Or is it just too big (without cutting bumper irons radiator supports etc).

What is the largest IC that can fit .

May I ask why old son??

There are a heap of PROVEN options out there that allow you to run massive HP from anyone of the many sponsors on this forum.

If you get it for a deal then sell it to some boy racer with a GTR and use the coin to get yourself one that works..

I'd say the PW and Nizzy coolers are probably the biggest, both can handle over 1000hp. I don't think you would need much bigger IMO.

I'm no cooler expert, and no doubt that the PW & Nizpro coolers are a proven product, but I'm guessing that the efficiency of the GTR cooler would be pretty good considering there are coolers out there like the PWR where their upper section of core is nigh unto useless.

The problem with the GTR cooler is adapting it to the Ford without too much cutting.

If however you do need to cut, then there's no reason not to go for a proven product like the Nizpro or PW as Dillz mentioned.

It is more the design I really like the look of. It just seems logical to get them to flow with the GTR design tanks, Although The Process west ones look alright until you look at the price, We don't all want to earn big bucks and live in West Island... Some of us like the lifestyle here....plenty of space too...

If you hadn't picked it I'm in NZ so these items are not as easy to get as the JAPPA stuff too....(the price you pay I suppose)

And HDI' website just frustrates me, I just don't know WTF I am buying....and HDI product looks beggar all better than the F6 one anyway...

I had the same feeling, having visited the Alibaba.com site, you can't help but feel all are made in China anyway...Even the "Aussie Ones" look identical to some suppliers ones there. And the true Jap stuff may actually be better (if those are not made in China too) just looking at the fin design of most IC's they just are not that great... we all bother to put 4" pipes on the inlet and outlet but then when you look inside the IC you start to think how can they flow efficiently...they are so restrictive.. a little bit more design on the flow of air into the tubes has to help (or take the GTR tank approach)

Has anyone actually put a guage on either side of any of their IC's measuring both pressure drop and temp drop, at multiple boost pressures? How efficiebt are they

is adapting it to the Ford without too much cutting.

Hence the question if the GTR would fit (maybe even upside down)???

On the subject of Chinese, I think you'll find the PW cores are from China as well.............but they do seem to do a great job

110mm thick and 600 long core = lots of grinding into the front reo bar.

I doubt at 600mm it would fit without major grinding. I observed the other day how much metal had to removed just to fit a RAPID cooler. No way would I be doing that to my car.
