My Nan died, my dad had a heart attack and a double bypass... Some dickhead ran up the arse of my car a month and a half ago and it still isn't fixed... And to top it off, I came home last friday to the back door on my house wide open and a broken lock...Walked inside to see my TV and Tivo still sitting there... Wierd? But everything was everywhere... Look harder... No PS3, No wii, All hard drives gone... Closer again... LCD TV has about 10 massive scratches down it... Look on the couch. There is a couple of our knives bent to the sh*thouse...So... called the cops, didn't want to touch anything... Start having a little look around. Check wifes jewelery... Still there... Thank god... They opened the wrong jewelery boxes...Check the whole house. Much more gone then I thought :-(So... All in all... About $20,000 worth of stuff stuff gone. Macbook, HP Laptop, Worst of all my Canon camera and 4 lenses (No photo shoots for a while), lots of electrical stuff (my wife now has no hair straightener god forbid!) and they stabbed one tv about 10 times with a knife... And did the other and jumped up and down on it (cops have prints)... They did another house nearby and have done more in the Cranny, Narre Warren, Beaconsfield and Berwick area lately...Just thought I would give everyone in the area a heads up!Cheers,WormP.S. I hope no one else has to go through this...

I hope you've got insurance to cover it all.Did any of the neighbours see/hear anything?I guess the TV is too big to carry so they just went for all the portable items. Wingnut Member 573 Member For: 16y 3m 24d Gender: Male Posted 13/05/11 10:51 PM Share Posted 13/05/11 10:51 PM Petty crime and burgs have gone through the roof in recent times, or so it seems. We are nailing a couple of blokes a day at my shop trying to rip us off and to be honest the cops seem very indifferent about it all. For example we had a guy try to rip us off a couple of days ago, but our LP officer was in the shop and nailed him. Gave him an absolute caning, the cops then came to pick him up and book him. The guy was back at our shop picking up his car 3 hours later. I know this because I approached the crook and who I thought was a cop searching his car. Ended up being the guys dad checking out all the stuff he had flogged from our others stores on the day... The cops didn't even follow him back to his car to check it!! Of course he had a car there why else would he have asked to be dropped off where he was caught??And they way they treated him when they came to collect him... "you ok mate?'' .. "you hurt?" .. "you need a smoke??" I have no issue with police they help us a lot but recently it seems like its all too hard and these guys just keep coming back and its we as retailers that have to do all the work...We need harsher penalties for crimes like these. I've been broken into before, for me it sucked knowing random pricks had been through your house doing what ever they want.Bit of a long shot but you haven't upset any students recently have you? The stabbing the tv sounds abit juvenile and personal to me. Just a thought.

I thought the same thing!!! Worried me at first. But after the cops told me they had done the same thing to a house around the corner... I knew it wasn't personal... Also none of my details are listed anywhere... Ie. Phone/address etc...Without sounding arrogant... I would be one of the most liked teachers in the school and have never really had any issues with any students... Even the bad ones... I try and have a positive relationship even with the sh*t kids. I ask them about their personal lives (ie. Playing footy, motorbike riding, ps3 etc) and take an interest in them. A lot of the time it's what they need cause they don't get it from their parents...Anyway... I'm guessing it was just random...

I hate thieves and liars more than anything.I have alarms systems that ring my mobile should they go off. THe alarm system may not stop the break in but the time spent in the house may be 5 min instead of 50min ripping stuff off. Also when you come home you are confident no one is in the house.I also have an infra-red beam on the front boundary that tells me if anyone has crossed the boundary line by an in-house buzzer. Has been worth its weight in gold as have had a few night prowlers over the years and its usually around 2am to 4am that they come aroundMy next stage is video surveillance.
