The missus has a lancer ralliart that I use when it's too wet to take the GS out, I agree ryno but I was referring to in the wet, in the dry the FPV will own a STI/ Evo easily... Except if you are doing a run through roads with no straights longer than 50m then they own you...

Believe me both myself and Gaz have found out the hard way...

Hopefully they don't ditch the falcon, as they are now onto a real winner with both the 6T and the S8 so now if they can get the cutout up to par with hsv then it'll be an awesome fight to the death...

As Nathan said once these start hitting the used cars and the price drops enough I think these will take off as the new 'tuners choice' for easy HP :-)

Completely agree. It will be a sad day of they ditch it. They were asking for feedback on Facebook on what people look for when buying a new car a few days back.

Without wanting to hijack the thread, I think what you said at the start about the GS not feeling as fast as your T is probably true of all turbo vs 8's? A while back I went for a spin in a mate's r33 skyline with 280rwkw and about 2 weeks later another mate took me for a spin in his amg c63.. Similar power but the c63 felt like a slug in comparison. Its the way the turbo dumps all the power on you in one go!

They GS will never be as cheap as the T as it's an FPV and has about 10 years of used cars to catch up. God people are coming up with some crazy ways to justify these cars lol.

The XRT (and it's siblings) is the cult car and always will be.

The GS/GT is ok and an improvement over the old one but it's nothing to get too excited about.

So the maths tells me, GS sedan auto at 52k driveaway + $1500 for an x-force, about the same for xcal and tune = 500rwhp all day. F6 on the other hand, and yes it's a real FPV, but 60+ driveaway and 3k - 5k ish to get that power and left with an uninspiring cessna note out the zorst (harsh I know). You can see why, and not just us 'old farts' reminiscing about the old school V8 days - in my case my chev powered HQ Monaro - have got these on the radar. The base T is cheaper but can't make these numbers without bigger turbo, etc. So IMO, especially now that the prices have dropped, we have a new bang for buck winner.

Couldn't agree more...........

I was speaking for myself lol

And an XR is meant to be bland it's the base model. Imagine if they had an FPV that looked like an XR, now that would be bland.

Oh wait..

But ya right some like turbo sixs and some like v8's. I like turbo sixs that's why I'm on a turbo six forum and not on a v8 forum trying to brag about my turbo six.
