ok so ive been thinking and my previous statment only works if u want a new or near new car to start with .itll be awsome wen u can get a low klm gs for the same price as a xr6t in a few years for say 18k put a tune to it and get 500hp for under 20k than the v8 starts to look real good the 6 turbo will be sh#t and need at least 5gs worth of surporting mods to keep up.

so the v8 is better on fuel wen given a hard time compaired to the 6 turbo, so I guess if u hoon every time u drive and not care about fuel acon the gs will be cheaper than the 6 turbo with fuel ha

A mate of mine and I went on a road trip, both filled our tanks to the max and drive exactly the same route and covered over 400kms... At the end we both pulled into the servo and refilled our cars, over 400kms my GS had used less than 2l more fuel than his FG F6... So to say theirs worse on fuel is rubbish as we both drive the same and get the same kms to a tank and the same fuel consumption...

I'd say that's because the 5.0L V8 has DI and the I6T doesn't have DI. If the I6T did, it would probably make close to 300kw and use less fuel at the same time. Unfortunately, I think it's unlikely Ford will invest the money in doing this if they plan on ditching the Falcon.

Hopefully they don't ditch the falcon, as they are now onto a real winner with both the 6T and the S8 so now if they can get the cutout up to par with hsv then it'll be an awesome fight to the death...

As Nathan said once these start hitting the used cars and the price drops enough I think these will take off as the new 'tuners choice' for easy HP :-)

Nothing wrong with the Evo or ralliart lancers, they both go hard and on a windy road will easily flog an FPV... Actually also on any day where there's the slightest bit of water on the road...

As great as the FPV vehicles are, as soon as there is a couple of corners or some water on the road the AWD vehicles will kill them :-(

Its funny how quickly people write them off as barges. Both the f6 and gs/t are awesome cars that can handle.

When the fg f6 was released, in tests by mags stock vs stock it beat the evox around both eastern creek and phillip island. Some 3.5secs at the island.

I'm sure the gs/t would do times close to the f6.
