What about the new Boss 302 Ford Mustang? The Yanks have actually made a cheap muscle car that handles. It's faster round Laguna Seca than a BMW M3, has a 5.0 litre V8 that revs to 7500 rpm with a sound that'll have you nursing a semi & costs a smidgen over $40k US. It also has plates in the exhaust to pass noise laws which can be easily pulled out when you buy it & is guaranteed to make any greenie/ecotard burst into tears at the sight of it.

It's a totally raw & vulgar car & I'd love one.

Very very nice.

But for less than half the price you could drive your new GT-E into KPM and hand them thirty thou. And have quite a bit of change left for a decent H&K or Bose system.

Guess it comes back to if you have to have designer jeans or not.

True, but that 30k wont make up for the millions more that BMW put into r&d and refinement on the M5 over Ford and the GT-E.

according to that logic my F6 will be better than an m3 after I tune it.

It will be faster in a straight line. That's it.

The local car does not have the money poured into it that the M cars do as the return is simply not there.

I know alot of people think it's all badges and that's it but it goes way beyond that. In my garage I have a new BMW and the F6. I love the drive of the F6 its cheap fun, but it's not as good as these cars.

BMW has lowered in quality in the last 10-15 years though , to the point where Audi outsell them now. They still make arguably the best engines, at least they seem to win a sh*tload of awards for them. I reckon their market has changed to the USA and china and people who only keep cars for 2-3 years.

Sorry but I think the Bewahs are just plain fuggly these days. And resale sucks on them. You can get a good 06 for a fair bit less than ninety grand. I would rather throw my money away on holidays and high priced call girls.

There just pretentious crap.

Where I worked also was the BMW driver training center. Seen quite a few flat beds leaving there.

I love all these people sh*t canning BM's...

It really made my day :)

You speak as though a Ford isn't an unreliable under developed piece of junk. What do you pay for an F6 these days...65,70 fully loaded on road? If youre lucky? And for that you get budget interior, crap sound system, cheap tires that cant handle the cars power, handling like a boat and the joys of such things like diff clunks, drive shafts that snap and a gear box that gives heavy shunts when changing under load. All of which are "normal" or "being addressed" if you ask Ford.

I love my car but I wouldn't for a second consider a Ford over a BMW if price was never an issue. Even my brothers base 320 at 50k sh*ts all over my car in build quality and comfort. Buts that's not what I wanted in a car now was it ...

:P
