Hi Guys hope someone can help,

Recently purchased a set of 20x10s Vertini Hennessey rims for the rear off my ba xr6 turbo.

but theres a problem the wheels go on the rear fine and the guards a rolled, but the actual cap with

the logo Virtini wont fit on due to the thread which holds the wheel bearing being to long.

can anyone tell me if its anything do do with the ofset. thanks

Grind down the end of thread, it is not used anyway as you can see.

I did that with my wheels on the rear, you don't need to take much off.

Hey,

I was told by a mechanic it can affect the balance of the car, which I think it

wont.

ozzy tyres put me a 5ml spacer but it helped abit, the caps had to be shaved a bit on the inside so they go on. I thought there might be a another way around it.

I suppose it could...though there is only a very short amount of shaft protruding from the bearing which is not being supported at it's other end.....so as long as you grind it down evenly it should make the balance better. If you had say 1 metre of shaft sticking out and just hanging there, it would be way out of balance as soon as it started to spin, whereas if you cut the one metre down to 5cm, it would be far more in balance.

No, vertini McLaren 20x10 +42 fits perfect, although there is only about 3mm clearance on the inside. A slight rolling of the guards and no rubbing anywhere. What offset do you have.
