In fact IMHO it makes it worse as you have two cast steel items bolted together (which will expand/contract at similar rates) being secured by an aluminum bracket that will expand and contract at a different rate. This isnt going too help maintain the tension on the lower mounting studs.If you want to fix the problem once and for all replace the locknuts and use an M10 nordlock washer under each nut. Just seems like it would make it alot easier to refit the turbo & manifold as one piece than try to fit and torque the turbo on the car, and not have to worry about trying to refit that bracket.
