I am unsure what system they adopt. I know expensive european cars will distribute the power to different wheels but these sytems are a fuel retardent or spark inhibitors I think. Its not good when taking a corner at a fair speed and you want some torque to push you out (a nice gen iii trait I must say) and that damn light comes on and leaves you out there. As soon as the power comes off the springs decompress and it gets real ugly real quick.

I like the fact that we can at least turn TC off.

I like it off more than on, but on lazy car to work days in the wet it stays on until I feel like a play.

I would like to see a selection or preference set in a menu that you can select it perm on or off instead of pushing that bloody hard to get to button each time you start it.

I hear where you are coming from dude. If anyone knows Arthur's Seat down the Mornington Peninsula in Vic, had an ugly time coming down the front of that one night with TC on. Ran it again without, much smoother run, less on the brakes, less screeching of tyres.

Still reckon TC is the bomb for day to day driving though!

I gotta admit, the TC does restrict what you do, but I bloody love it. Go around a corner, full throttle it just before the apex and it steps out nicely. Go around corners like looney tunes and it bloody stays on the road. I love it. If you want some extra fun, just turn it off and you are the cars master. With the TC off I am always impressed at how grippy the back end is :) I only turn the TC off on rare occation. The TC rules

Did some trackwork the other day TC on no probs, turned it off and it was like driving the XY with an open diff, oversteer to buggery.

Ive never been able to lay rubber with TC on,dont know how you K1W1S do but?

How the hell can you do track work with TC on?

So Mr Hero does trackwork with TC off eh,well if you own a tyre shop good luck to ya, Ive hung the arse end out long enough (and paid for it ) now its with ABS and TC not to mention premium brakes and I love it. So why did ya buy a T for ? so you can turn evrey thing off ? Is Walker spelt right ? n instead of l.

TC is very good when it's wet and your back tyres have seen better days (nearly 20,000 hard km). I always turn it off when I want to have fun (and it's dry).

Play nicely? Like F#@K!

Settle down Vik - my comments were aimed at the fact that I would expect TC would slow ANYONE down around a circuit - I wasn't trying to say that you are a p!ssweak driver but for some reason you seem to have taken it that way.....

As for being a hero - If I did a poll on whether people here would turn TC off on the track I bet you would be in the minority.

Exactly. Don't you go to the track to test your skills and have some fun Vik? If you're getting oversteer, tame it down a little! You will still go faster when you get it right than you will with TC on. TC was great on F1 cars but it's just slightly more progressive than what the T has - our system feels like an 'on/off' switch! And if you're worried about burning up tyres then what the hell are you doing at a racetrack anyway?

Premium brakes - definately great for track work, ABS - great for getting out of trouble (but slower) when you've gone in way too deep, but TC???

Sorry if you were offended but I don't think it warranted the personal attack you dished out. If there's a w@nker here it's someone other than me.

I bought one because it's a great drivers car.
