It can be an excellent safety feature, especially in powerful cars. Makes the car idiot proof to a certain extent. Wanna play turn it off at the first set of lights. One thing I have found with mine though ( not sure if this is a fault in the system or just the LSD catching up ) if you are lighting up the tires in a tight circle and the traction control comes on then just as it goes off you dump the lead foot down and the tires light up, traction control doesn't intrude at the second bite.
