I was looking into getting a earls turbo oil feed line with the filter. But I was talking to a possible future custom tuner and he was telling me its pointless on a bf mk2 as they all ready have a filter in the block and recommended as long as it gets cleaned out every 50 thousand kays its all good. Also said you need to run better fuel of course. He said he would clean mine out for 120 bucks. So is this true or is he just trying to make a quick buck?I have read so much about people getting these filtered lines but nothing about bf mk2's. Alot of guy don't like them cause they are a very fine mesh an get bloked easy. They are alright if you change you oil frequently. Better to buy a new one than clean it in my opinion, cost me around 85 for a new one and changed it myself in about half hour, not a hard task if you take the airbox outa the way Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/74714-turbo-oil-feed-question/#findComment-1103803 Share on other sites

The remote filter/line puts the filter in a spot which is easily accessible to make future cleaning an easy job, and it also reminds you to clean it as you can see it rather than being hidden under the manifold.
