I got one of these. Seen that one on ebay too.

Mate, buy it, you won't be dissapointed. It is a very good cooler...very efficient. It's a decent size too (I got the optional 500mm core). All the Plazmaman tube & fin coolers work very well and are of high quality. Cheap price too! Just the cooler on it's own in polished finish costs around a grand, so if you can get the lot for that price including pipes, you're laughing.

I don't run the cold side piping though, as I wanted the stock look under the bonnet. I run the hot side though, as you can't see this anyway, and the replacement under battery pipe (OEM sensor pipe). You should get better results if you're running the piping.

For the record, there used to be a member on here who was running 370-380rwkw with this cooler in his typhoon, standard piping too. His car was actually one of the reasons I ended up purchasing this cooler lol.

The only thing wrong with this is the 180 degree turn on the cold side of the cooler and it still utilises the stock airbox. There is no place to put in a cold air intake. But yeah if your after moderate gains, this would be a godo pick up.

You can still run a CAI in the stock location, such as BPR or similar. I run a BPR CAI with this cooler. Granted, it won't work as well as a CAI on the turbo side, but it will still produce some damn good power, provided you have the supporting mods.

Care to share your numbers if youve got this cooler??

Sure, I made 295rwkw on around 11psi. Numbers aren't big, but I don't have many mods, and still run factory cross-over/cold side pipes. My stock exhaust is what's holding me back, as my tuner couldn't get the boost any higher, even with my wastegate held shut.

I remember taking the car for a squirt after getting the car back from the tuners, gave the car a good thrashing then pulled over at a servo to grab a drink. I popped the hood and touched my stock cold side piping, as well as my CAI box and they were both ice cold.

Looking to do full exhaust, wastegate mod and surge tank next, then retune. Should see some good numbers hopefully.

Robos F6 - I have the cooler that xpl0sive is talking about, with the full piping kit which replace the crossover. I was running 355rwkw but am now back to 325. Tuned in the middle of summer in one of the most humid part of australia.

Kroozin - that's a bargain mate :) but ask him about the intake he was running if he really is returning back to stock
