I have both... Android on a tablet and iphone for phone....

Iphone is awesome. Never had an issue.

The main question you need to ask yourself is what do you want from your phone? Iphone has a great battery life compared to others, seemless integration with other products... Screen is AMAZING on iphone4, including a ridiculously good touchscreen. Apps, video and sound are all great quality. Purchase an extra applecare warranty ($100) and this covers you for a two year contract is anything goes wrong. Besides dropping it, you will be fine. If you drop it in water, put it in a bowl of uncooked rice and it will absorb the water... Fixed. It is very easy to use... It is very quick and I have never had a problem. THE MAIN THING I HATE ABOUT IT! IT WONT RUN FLASH IN A WEB BROWSER... ITS f*ckING STUPID!!!

Androids depends on which phone you get. It is linux based (best operating system ever developed) and as stated, it open source (although they haven't released the source code for android 3 though yet!). This is a phone for a tech head. Someone who likes to be able to do everything. If you install too much sh*t and it is all running, it will run slowly! It is a REAL multitasking phone... Unlike an iphone. HOwever, you can play around more and edit stuff on it. The MAIN apps that are available on iphone, are also available on Android (iphone has lots of sh*t apps, lets be honest). Some of the features will depend on the phone and accelerators etc... But android is awesome! And after version 2.2 (Froyo) it supports ALL flash! It will do every thing you want! But, it is a little less easy then an iphone.

So in short, They are both great...

I was gonna buy an ipad2, but was turned off by the lack of its ability to play flash. There is a browser called "Skyfire" that will play flash VIDEO only... but its a pretty sh*t system, as it converts the flash file on an external server and then downloads it as HTML5 content. If the server load is high, it is sh*t AND it wont play flash games, only video.

If you get a tablet, definitely get android!

What phone OS would I get? Either. You can't lose...

Optus now has iPhone 4 FREE on $59 plan - I'm part of the Jobs Flock!

I have to say, I am loving it. Especially the TAB Sportsbet app, so I can now check the odds while I'm sitting on the toilet.

Uhh you know, hypothetically of course. innocent.gif

iPhone is a good phone for the non business users, people who need to have it as a fasion accessory. They look good and will do most things, but are still 2 years behind a HTC on features. They also break easily. the record so far is a client who had a i4 for 3 hours and dropped it. being glass fornt and back, they do not like being dropped.

Not 100% true. Our company uses iPhone / ipads for business use (email, calendar sharing, contacts, citrix, rdp etc) and they work perfectly fine. With each of our major sites running 500+ staff we have really no major issues with them. HTC, BlackBerrys, Iphones can all break when there dropped its just a matter of how un-lucky you are. I've dropped my iphone 4 way to many times to count and it still works fine!

Flash support is my only concern however html5 should fix that..

I'd suggest going into a store and test each phone for a couple of minutes. See what one is easier for you and take it from there. At the end of the day, they all do the same things just look a bit different.
