They are changing the rules completely for the 2013 season, apparently another one or two teams likely to join.

One is most likely Hyundai not sure who else is interested.

Wonder how they'll react to Gizzy's drifting effort after today's race??...... :dontknow:

I missed the first half of the telecast today......watched the 6 hour production car race from Phillip Island on Speedweek instead...

Much more entertaining...... :beerchug:

FOLLOWING last weekend’s Trading Post Perth Challenge, V8 Supercar Chief Executive Officer Martin Whitaker has reviewed regulations regarding post-race celebratory ‘burn-outs’.

Whitaker, after consulting with V8 Supercar operations, said the winning driver will be able to perform a ‘burn-out’ in a specified area.

“This is something the fans want and it is customary across many disciplines of the sport for a driver to display his exuberance in such a way,” Whitaker said.

Probably has something to do with it....
