What are the symptons of a bent axle?

Mine is bent and I have end float which is allowing my disk to have run out. (Basically my car is squeaking constantly when I drive)

if you want to no how to get ride of axel trap take alittle more practic in your take off it took me nearly 2 years to master mine. now I can play with the revs in ay gear and never get axel trapm. mines the lowest ute I have ever seen and its manual. I got my tailsharft balanced and cv's changed for 500kw and its never had a problem touch wood.

I would like to hear more on this theory on not jacking up on the rear of the ute. if I put a jack under or right beside the leaf U bolts on the diff housing, how the hell is that going to put load on youre axels? there is never any load on the axels at any time, that's what wheel bearings are for.

cheers, andy

Andy, of course you can jack the ute up. Just do it one side at a time an avoid jacking from the diff or axels. The factory jacking point for the ute is actually the chassis.

The load of the car is always transferred through the jack so you are going to stress whatever you are using to lift the car.

Still dont believe it? Simple experiment. Put your hand between the car and the jack and start to raise the jack. If it hurts I'm right. It's no theory it's physics.
