Was told when very low they bend axles and break tailshafts, but then take JDs one of the lowest and it's all good. Is it manual? and if you have warranty are you going to try to get them replaced through ford?

Yeah it's a manual.. I'm claiming it through insurance as it's an existing problem related to a small accident I had last year..

my ba mk2 6speed manual had so many dramas with bent axels in the end I traded it in with 40k on the clock for a typhoon had the diff replaced 3 times in 20k.. ended up getting over it pretty quick..

my fg has had no dramas yet with the axels lowered on pedders springs and leafs.. car has 400rwks been to drags with no worries.. just the luck of the draw I guess

Yeah I've had a lot of bad luck :(

What should I be looking at to improve the bad tramp I'm getting which is putting a lot of strain on my rear axle. Shocks/bushes/sway bar?? Will any of these help?

I dont have my new ute yet its still a week or 2 away but from what im reading I have to look forward to bent axles and stuffed tailshafts, what a let down.

I have always been the unlucky one  if somethings gonna break it will break on my car .

Spose im lucky I did a trade as a diesel mech and fords bs excuses wont go over too well with me if I have issues because I know just as much as their mechanics do(possibly more)

I heard a rear swaybar will stop axle tramp is this accurate? if so that may be an early mod for axle insurance/ longevit.y

I went thru 4 rear axles in about a month at one stage, not really sure y they kept bending, wasn't flogging car, wasn't tramping just bending
